Seriously, make some noise for this. It’s a big deal!

Thanks to Yorky at the PS Vita forum we can share with you some news that you would really think Sony would be telling everyone – you can now access and use the PlayStation Store from a web browser.

Clicking here will take you to the store, and you can then sign in with your PSN ID. I’m not sure which regions it is currently live in – it is live in the UK – but  give it a go and let us know!

Once signed in it shows how much is in your wallet, your basket and so on, and it seems that everything is available for you to peruse, from games to music, TV and movies.

From the game pages it even lists the file size to make it easy for you to see whether you have enough space.

I think this is fantastic news, aside from Sony’s online pricing issues in places, but what do you make of it?

Paul founded The Vita Lounge and is the Executive Editor, but still likes to get involved with the odd piece of news or a review. 35 years young and gaming since 1990, he has a preference for Action/RPG games, Shooters, Racing Games (despite ironically not being able to drive!) and quite partial to a game of FIFA.

Easier access to spending money on things I can’t sell on afterwards? Sign me up! Seriously though better and wider access is always a good thing. Tried on my ipad though and browser not supported. Hey ho!

If you have the “Atomic” browser on the iPad you can set the browser agent to Internet Explorer 9 and it will work. You can’t scroll the country selection box but just choose one. After the page is loaded click sign in and it will automatically set the correct country.

  • Good news, also you could sign in to the sen services online before and check downloads and your services but nothing as good as this, great news. All we need now is a new store on the vita 🙂

  • Annoying. I can’t buy JSR and Sine Mora from there because I have downloaded the trial versions for those games.

I love the interface of the Web Store. It’d look beautiful on an iOS/Android device. Imagine how amazing that would be!
