Is there another PlayStation All-Stars game in the works?

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale was released in Europe on November 23rd 2012- only a few weeks ago. However, recent developments suggest a sequel to Sony’s brawler.

Two job vacancies from SuperBot Entertainment, which have recently popped up on job website ‘Gamasutra’ (also known as a news source), suggest a new All Stars game. One is for art director, and the other for game designer.

In the job description for the position of art director, it mentions SuperBot Entertainment’s PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and how there is a range of artistic styles in the game which ‘requires a strong and unifying vision to present a cohesive and polished product’.
The job description for the game designer role includes a list of experience required. One bullet point being the following; ‘Must have a near encyclopedic knowledge of modern games, with emphasis on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’.

Both job vacancies inspire hope that there will in fact be a sequel to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. We hope we can provide you with more news soon, but seeing that games usually get announced later in their development cycle, we will probably have to wait it out. In the mean time, you can read our review here; a sequel would not be a bad idea. Let’s cross our fingers for more, soon.

I'm Will. I'm 18 years old and I love action/adventure games, dungeon crawlers, racing games, fighting games. Pretty much all games! I mainly play on my Vita but I do have an NES, N64, Sega Megadrive, PS1 and a Gamecube as well. As well as gaming being a hobby, I also play in a band called Cathedrals & Cars.
