A round up from Japan

The Japanese Round up is where we aim to include all the important gaming news from our Japanese Friends.

I will try to release it each Sunday but I cant promise it since it depends on how much news come out over the course of week, and will certainly make it easier for you to read and enjoy!

First up, the Japanese online magazine 4Gamer asked 112 industry figures about their favorite games of 2012 and we have listed a few here for you.

Koei released a Trailer of Romance of the Three Kingdoms XII, which a strategy series which plays in the ancient China. The planned release for this one is February,7 2013.

The Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus site was updated with a new character bio.

Next up Compile Hearts announced Holy Sorcery Story , a dungeon crawler type game in which you play girl called Pupuru, whose goal it is to creatre the “legendary magical curry”. She is a young apprentice sorceress who has in order to graduate from Sorcery Academy to retrieve a magical sphere from the Sorcerer’s tower.But instead of the sphere she finds an old book with a picture of curry instead. There she also meets a strange creature which calls itself Kuusii. If that makes sense to you?

All in all it sounds like a Atelier clone, and the planned release is March 28, 2013.

Tokyo Majin Gakuen which was a role playing series that started on SNES but never saw a US release, and the developers behind it have announced that they have started working on a as of now unkown game for PS3 ,Vita and 3DS.

Index Holdings, the parent company of Atlus, revealed their plan for the actual fiscal year (September 2012 to August 2013).
Their focus is to expand the fansbase through high quality games.
Because of this the anounced that they will release four to five games during that time,
two of them are Shin Megami Tensei 4 and Dragon´s Crown. I personally hope for Persona 5, but they just seem to have started development last year.

Atelier Totori was hornored as best Vita game for Girls, the second is Persona 4 Golden because its easy to pick up and a smooth pace to the story that is keeping girls (and boys!) hooked to the game. Third was Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA.

Weekly SPA! on the other hand asked which developer think is the best games for girls on the PS3 and Vita , and the Results differ slightly.

They have in first place Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, in second Okami HD and third is LittleBigPlanet 2.

It is known since start that  Square Enix arcade game Lord of Vermilion Re: 2 is featuring Persona 4 Characters.

But now a first Video apeared on Youtube. Sadly that it isnt a Vita game….

Categorie crazy is a Japanese Tales of Fan which played the Japanese Tales of Hearts R demo for nearly 80 Hours to reach level 100 after that he/she maxed out the grade. They have my respect.

Now giant robot fans will be glad to hear that Famitsu released during a preview of Gundam Breaker new pictures of said game.Here are a few (all images can be be found here).

    Great first post, Yuuki! I’ll likely never get to import games from Japan (unless I find the time to learn Japanese), but it’s nice to see what kind of support the Vita has outside of North America and Europe.
