Sorry guys, running behind….have a free game.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault was released on PS3 in November as a cross-buy title, meaning Vita users could pick up the Vita title in January as a free download. Only January came and went, and Ratchet didn’t appear. People began to speculate that the game had been cancelled as the release window disappeared, well luckily, that hasn’t happened.

Unluckily, the release window has now been changed to the slightly more vague “Spring 2013” release window, but at least we can rest assured that the port, developed by Tin Giant, is getting extra development time to tighten things up, rather than being rushed to hit their January deadline.

To soften the blow, the US Playstation blog confirms “For those of you who have purchased the PS3 version of the game and are waiting for your PS Vita entitlement, we want to make it up to you as best we can. On the release date for Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PS Vita, we will be offering Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked for the PS3 system as a free download to all of our fans who purchased Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for the PS3 system (digitally or on disc).

There’s been no mention as to whether this offer will extend to Europe, but fingers crossed!

EU are getting Motorstorm:RC. You know! That game that costs buttons in the sale, will likely be free on PS+ next month, and pretty much every Vita owner has already bought it! Weak!

    Still the thought counts Sony!

  • So, nothing for the Vita owners who can’t even play the game like PS3 owners can?
