The game for all Retro Horror fans!

Curve confirmed that Lone Survivor, which was a critically appraised indie Horror/Retro PC game by Jason Byrne will be coming to the Vita (and PS3). If you have not heard of it before, here is the PC launch trailer.

The development of Lone Survivor for PlayStation is Curve’s latest high-profile indie collaboration. It follows the announcement of their work on converting Mike Bithell’s BAFTA-winning platforming adventure Thomas Was Alone for PS3 and PS Vita for release this spring.

The version of Lone Survivor released on Sony consoles will feature exclusive expanded content, including new locations, sidequests and items. Players will also be able to finish the game with a new ending.

Jason Byrne had this to say on the project:

Lone Survivor’s release on PlayStation consoles is a dream come true for me. I’ve been a big fan of Sony’s hardware all my life. I really hope PS3 and Vita owners enjoy the game and its new content.

It will be released in the summer and will feature cross save between the PS3 and the Vita.

Will you buy the game and how do like the trend that the Vita is on a the way to becoming THE indie platform?
