Playdead’s critically acclaimed platformer confirmed by IGN.

Colin Moriarty, IGN’s PlayStation Editor confirmed that the distinctive puzzle patformer will find its way onto the Vita, and the site lists a TBA 2013 release date. No other information is offered in the piece regarding the release.

Limbo has been very well received on the many platforms it has been released on since first appearing on the Xbox 360 in 2010. Developer Playdead are currently working on a mystery “project 2” and I for one hope that this opens up the possibility for that to end up on the Vita also.

We will bring you more news as and when we get it, feel free to sound off in the comments. I for one am going to have a think about how I am going to afford all of these titles on a list which is growing rapidly.

Wow, the Vita announcements are coming like everyday now! Never played Limbo before but I love the concept and art of it.

  • oh sweet!, awesome.
    Like gamer’s dream come true.
    🙂 great news.

  • I own LIMBO on PC. The concept is definitely interesting, but the game isn’t very fun, I would say.

I had a good time w/ it, but I can see what you mean. I think it would have been greatly helped by giving the player just a LITTLE more direction.

Still, I think it’s worth it just as an experience as some the environments you go through are so interesting.

Not worth double dipping but if you have not played before I definitely recommend picking this up.
