A few more titles confirmed at GDC as well as a few we already knew about.

Adam Boyes from SCEA took to the EU Blog as GDC13 opened to confirm a few titles incoming for the Vita, as well as the PS3,PS4 and PlayStation Mobile.

Spelunky was a welcome surprise, but it very much seems that everything is now incoming so perhaps in the future it will be more notable if something doesn’t make it! If you have not heard of Spelunky, it is (in the words of Derek Yu from developer Mossmouth):

it’s a platformer with randomly-generated levels, making each playthrough a unique experience. The game is hard, but it’s rarely unfair, and when you die it’s usually in a hilarious way that involves some kind of ridiculous chain reaction. The difficulty and the randomization work together to give determined players a very rewarding experience – it’s common for people to persevere through thousands of deaths to beat Spelunky and uncover its most notorious treasure and secrets.

We were also told about Divekick, a crazy new fighting game that features only kicking and diving and started as a bit of a joke and apparently features a surprising amount of depth. Have a look at the video below for more.

There were confirmations for Limbo, Guacamelee, Hotline Miami, Luftrausers, Velocity Ultra and Thomas was Alone all of which we had told you about.

There were also mentions for a Friend Network App, Dragon Fantasy Book 2 which is a 16bit style RPG and Metrico which is a brand new title which we know very little about, being developed by Digital Dreams.

So some more great titles announced and the strain on your pocket/list of great 2013 titles (delete as applicable) continues to grow. What do you make of the news? And what do you think of Divekick?

Well, I’m using the Vita to go on line so I will have to get back to you with my Divekick impressions. No flashy means no looky. Til then, it looks like another great batch of games are coming to Vita.

Tis a good thing and I hope it continues!

Picked up Spelunky but couldn’t really enjoy it on the big screen. Will definitely buy again for Vita and properly get into it this time.
