Is the former Wii U exclusive now set to hit the Vita? Spanish retailer suggests so.

We’d ask Ubisoft, but we would get a “we don’t comment on rumour or speculation” response to the news that Rayman Legends is set to be released in the Vita.

Suggesting a 29th August release date (which is nearly a month ahead of the planned console release) you can see the listing here.

Do you think we will see the new title, or is this an over enthusiastic retailer hoping for too much? We quite liked Rayman Origins on the Vita, Jasper gave it a decent score so I am sure at the very least he would be pleased.

Paul founded The Vita Lounge and is the Executive Editor, but still likes to get involved with the odd piece of news or a review. 35 years young and gaming since 1990, he has a preference for Action/RPG games, Shooters, Racing Games (despite ironically not being able to drive!) and quite partial to a game of FIFA.

We can only hope–Origins was SO good on the Vita. That being said, that date has to be filler and if the DATE is fake then…well, nevermind–I’d rather not think like that. RAYMEN LEGENDS FOR THE VITA!

I think it will happen. Ubi is one of the few major publishers who’s publicly stated that they have Vita games in the development pipeline. The date is questionable, but Legends for the Vita most likely isn’t (fingers crossed!).

Surely going to happen, I just hope, pray even they managed to get at least 2 player co-op in this time 🙂

I really hope this is true. Rayman is the best 2D platformer this generation – Origins overtook 2D Mario in every department.
