Gfe, member of the German PSVita-forum website reported a game breaking bug in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for PSVita.

The bug seems to be random and is only triggered in the world #5, it was noticed first after killing a enemy in the world and waiting for around three minutes. Screenshots of the bug in action are below.

Seemingly the graphics processor cant handle the code and crashes. After the error message displays the system will go black and lock up completely. Holding the power button for thirty seconds should pull you out of the freeze, allowing you to restart your Vita.

We’re unsure of how widespread the error is, or which versions of the game this happens in.

  • hmm, didnt happen in my US version. that’s a pretty bad bug though.

  • Even though he’s playing on the EU5 version of the game which you can see in the last screen and on the Sly Cooper icon. I’m playing on the EU1 version so hopefully other versions should suffer the same thing and I’m still on World 4. Pretty nasty bug though.

That’s a pretty major bug. Haven’t heard of anyone becoming a victim of it in the states. Hopefully a patch will be available soon.

Wow, looks and sounds pretty ugly.

The game crashed for me last night, but so did FIFA, both for the first time after I had been playing the full version of Soul Sacrifice for the first time? Is SS causing other games to crash? Maybe TVL can look into it.

It wasn’t the crash above – just the crash then ‘report to sony’ screen.

This bug shows up in the North American version of the game bundled with the Playstation TV sold by Walmart. Restarting the device cleared it up for us.
