Is Silicon Studio developing a Vita RPG?

Some of you may have played Silicon Studio’s 3D Dot Game Heroes game; but if not, the game pays homage to the Zelda series – which you might be more familiar with. Silicon Studio are also the co-developer of the 3DS game Bravely Default and are now apparently developing a Vita game.

They dropped the hint during a Interview with Siliconera;

I remember you said you were going to take a break from developing games after 3D Dot Game Heroes, but then I saw Bravely Default with Silicon Studio’s logo on it. That was a surprise. Are you developing any more games?

TT: Yes, but I can’t tell you what those are. We have one 3DS title, a PS3 title and a Vita title is also coming.

The genre, name and the release schedule for their new titles are currently unknown.

  • I’d love a port of Dot Game Heroes. A port and a new title would be good. The Vita could use a good Zelda style game!

      That’s my hope! I know some have a low tolerance for ports but as one who always wanted to play DGH but lacked the PS3 to do so, a Vita version would be great.

      • Yeah, Zelda style games fit well to handhelds. I don’t know why really, they just feel right. Maybe it’s because Zelda has had many successes in the top down gameboy games.

    Sounds they’re making exclusives for each platform. Im hoping for that since the i want more vita exclusive games.

  • hmm, very interesting.
