Bye bye Gravity Rush and Uncharted.

Playstation blog always get masses of questions, some are answered and some are not. But one in particular grabbed my attention. Chris Howe in response to when Gravity Rush and Uncharted: Golden Abyss will be leaving Playstation Plus said the following:

“Those VITA games will be replaced in November”

No word on what will replace them…but it means that we should have two more long term classics just in time for Christmas, meaning November could have four titles added instead of two. What would you like to see available?

I'm 27 years old, and have been playing games for 20 years now, ever since Sonic and Alex Kidd on the master system. I love most types of games but I have a particular passion for music games and racing games, though Final Fantasy VII is and probably always will by my all time favourite as it's the only computer game to ever make me cry!

It will be PS:All Stars and LittleBigPlanet Vita. I think there’s a chance of Sly 4 replacing one of those now Sly 5 seems to be coming to Vita though, as the more people who realise how good Sly 4 was the better 5 will sell so it makes sense.

Games with online multiplayer feature is best for PS+ IGC.

    May be Soul Sacrifice.

Seems early for this–they’ll want to milk a few more sales out of it before they put it on Plus. Though I supposes DLC sales could help make up the difference…

It’s an outside shot although Sly 4, LBP:V and PS:All Stars seem the most likely since these games are advertised heavily to make people buy a Vita. I think Soul Sacrifice, while relatively new does have a chance as having LBP:V & Soul Sacrifice would replace two of the system’s biggest exclusives with the two biggest exclusives since those games.

Next year would make sense as Tearaway & Killzone as offering major exclusives as part of + is a very good selling point to get more Vita’s into people’s hands.

hopefully persona 4 golden so that more people play it^^

    • JonofPDX

I would think the replacements would be first-party titles like those they’re replacing.

I don’t think Persona 4 would be there for a whole year (but it’d be definitive killer app for PS+ if it was) but definitely I feel it will be available at some point.

I did post on Reddit of what might come on the yearly turnover, here you guys go.

-Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

    -Everybody’s Golf

    -Jak and Daxter HD Collection

    -LittleBigPlanet PS Vita

    -Little Deviants

    -MLB 12 or 13

    -ModNation Racers: Road Trip

    -MotorStorm: RC

    -PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

    -Reality Fighters

    -Resistance: Burning Skies

    -Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

    -Soul Sacrifice

I think that’s pretty much the only games that are going to be on the Yearly change.

Hope it’s LBP and Soul Sacrifice.

It doesn’t make any sense that they would put awful games or ones that only people in America would be interested in. Insane predictions. The only ones in that list that may be realistic are the below:

-Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (Recent release, poor frame rate)
-Everybody’s Golf (Semi-realistic, poor pulling power)
-Jak and Daxter HD Collection (No. Poor frame rate)
      -LittleBigPlanet PS Vita (Very likely)
-Little Deviants (No chance for the whole year, the game was poorly received)
-MLB 12 or 13 (No interest outside the USA)
-ModNation Racers: Road Trip (Poorly received – no online multiplayer, ugly art style. No chance)
-MotorStorm: RC (Likely to be part of IGC in future but not for a whole year – these are headline titles and will be retail releases. Potential buyers aren’t excited about saving £4)
-PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (Very likely)
-Reality Fighters (Scored too low to be part of IGC)
      -Resistance: Burning Skies (Ditto)
-Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Very likely)
      -Soul Sacrifice (Very likely)

I would be absolutely shocked if it was anything other than two of LBP:V, Sly Cooper, PS:All Stars or Soul Sacrifice, which your right is a very good shout)

Those are the exact same games I just said that may be in the yearly turn-over.

  • JonofPDX

PSASBR and Resistance seem like they have pretty much hit their earning potential in the wild–wouldn’t be surprised to see them retire onto Plus.

As much as I really like both of those games though–that would be quite a step down from Gravity Rush and Uncharted.

    • Anthony Brinklow

Resistance didn’t score high enough on Metacritic to ever be on IGC. It’s got 60% and IGC games require a minimum of 70%.

      • JonofPDX

Really? Is that something Sony has said because I didn’t hear that…

  • Kyle Wakeling

It’ll probably be LittleBigPlanet PSVita and Motorstorm RC or Everybody’s Golf (Hot Shots).

  • Lester Paredes

Wow! Those were two titles I’d never thought would go… They’re still the main attractions here in the US. Does this spell change for us too?

  • Buckybuckster

It’s about time! Don’t know wha they will be replaced with, but I’m happy to see some new blood.

Maybe if Ridge Racer is added it will be finally worth picking up!
