Go download it, right now!

A much bigger jump than our last few, 2.60 brings a ton of new features and improvements.

  • You can now easily upload and download your saved data using online storage; select the PlayStation Plus icon on the LiveArea screen for each application to upload to the cloud.
  • Some items have been added to the menu that appears when you press and hold the PS button (Wifi/Bluetooth/Flight mode toggles)
  • [Devices] has been newly added under [Settings], and [Bluetooth Settings] has been moved under [Devices]
  • In addition, the usability of many features has been improved.

A new Content Manager Assistant has been released for the PC as well, so you may want to update that while this is updating on your Vita – it’s mandatory, just like this update.

Edit; Improvements not listed are plentiful, including privacy settings on trophies, anti-aliasing for the homescreen and more!

Where is this PlayStation Plus Icon on the live area?

      I can read, really I can….
It is the plus logo on the actual games and not a separate Icon on the main dashboard…

PSP games no longer react to touching the screen a few seconds. You pull up this menu now via pressing PS button a few seconds instead. I think it’s a smart move, hardware doesn’t have to sense screen touches while on PSP games so it might theoretically save on battery.
