In the whirlwind that was the announcement and launch of the PSVita TV, many inquiring minds were left wanting more. Which games would early adopters be able to play and when if ever would the device be available to the West; these are just some of the questions raised by those keen on Sony’s new media player.

Thankfully Sony has confirmed a list of Playstation Vita titles that are compatible with PSVita TV.  It should be noted that while in Japanese, through translation it has been reported that there are multiple key games missing from the document. Excluded from the list are hit first-party Playstation titles such as Wipeout 2048, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Gravity Rush. It is not only first-party titles that are left behind in the list, third-party games including Rayman Legends, Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, and Need for Speed are also notably absent.

While it should be noted that the PSVita TV launched very recently, and it is not necessarily out of the question that further titles could be added to the list in the future.

There have also been some rumors in regards to the devices release in the west.  Just yesterday Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment, tweeted the following:

Though it is absolutely not an official confirmation, it’s a far cry from the despair that was delivered by Sony executives earlier in the week when they claimed that there were no plans to bring PSVita TV to Western markets.
