Halloween is coming a month early for horror fans as the Vita is set to embrace one of the most critically acclaimed horror games in recent years. Lone Survivor: Directors Cut will be releasing on Playstation 3 and PSVita in Europe on September 25th; but fret not North American fans, as you will get your hands on the game a day early; on the 24th.
Developed and published by Curve Digital the Directors Cut of the psychological horror game features a host of improvements including additional dialogue, tweaks to the games lighting, newly-created endings, and a multitude of other changes.
Here is a quote from the games Creator Jesper Byrne himself:
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to release one of my games on a console, and it’s been amazing to watch it coming together in the last few months. Lone Survivor on the PlayStation has gone from a simple port to nearly a completely new game that I’m very proud of.”
Furthermore Curve Digital’s Managing Director Jason Perkins commented:
“Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut isn’t simply a console port but a completely reworked version of Jasper’s original game. It’s been very interesting watch the game grow in all sorts of ways since we started working with Jasper, and when it comes to new content this game has been our biggest project yet.”
It seems that bringing the game to Playstation hardware was important to the team and they have taken the project quite seriously.
Only one question remains however, will you be brave enough to play this game with the lights off?
