After a previous appearance in an Amazon France listing, as well as a mention of a possible release from InsomniacInto the Nexus gets another hint that it’s coming to our favourite handheld – this time from Newegg.

Popular part supplier and online retailer Newegg puts up a listing for Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus on PlayStation Vita – showing a cover in a stylized photo, complete with a PSVita logo.

The listing reads;

“Ratchet and Clank are back! The beloved duo return with an original single-player epilogue to the acclaimed Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is a story-driven platform adventure with humor and heart, featuring outrageously upgraded weapons, extreme planet hopping and brand new worlds begging to be explored. Into the Nexus marks a true return to form for the acclaimed series.

After one of the most infamous manhunts in galactic history results in the capture of Vendra Prog, Ratchet and Clank offer to escort the dangerous criminal to the Vartax Detention Center. After a daring orbital jailbreak at the forgotten edge of the galaxy, Ratchet and Clank find themselves lost in an abandoned sector. There, in deepest space, they uncover an inter-dimensional event that threatens the universe – and forces Ratchet to decide what’s really important.

A return to the Future – Series protagonists, Ratchet and Clank, return along with Captain Qwark, Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr in a brand-new, story-driven single-player adventure.

Even more crazy weapons and gadgets for your arsenal – Arm yourself with a variety of exotic new weapons and gadgets, including the Winterizer and Nether Blades.

Clank strikes back – All-new gameplay offers inter-dimensional challenges where Clank can alter gravity, manipulate objects and solve mind-bending platforming puzzles.

Discover new worlds… and the dangers of space – Traverse through the zero-gravity of space and explore a mysterious sector filled with new planets to explore along with hidden dangers and dark secrets yet to be uncovered.”

It also shows tags for Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure players – though the resolution makes the numbers impossible to read.

Still think this one’s not coming?

I really hope this is true! And Cross-Buy! :3

  • Lester Paredes

Squeal! I hope it’s cross-buy! If not, then I’ll just get the Vita one. Oh, who am I kidding. I love R&C so much I’ll actually buy this one twice.

  • Jonathan Harding-Rathbone

Let’s hope that it is a better port than QForce. While I love the series I’m a bit worried if it ends up getting ported by a different studio again.

  • Pata

The thing is that Newegg has not listed any specific release date, while has pegged it for the same day as the PS3 version. I don’t really know what to expect.

    • Kyle Wakeling

Right now, you shouldn’t have any expectation of a release date. Insomniac have stated they will only release it if it’s running properly, which means it could easily be released at a later date – like FFA was (though that’s not to say that FFA was “running properly”).

      • Pata

Well, as far as I know they haven’t even announced (officially) the PSVita version of the game. We have to let them offically announce the game before we can speculate on release dates.

  • Buckybuckster

An actual R&C for Vita would be awesome news if true, and a very cruel hoax by someone if proven false. The Destiny of Spirts hoax still stirs up bitter thoughts.

If the game is truly on the Vita docket, please please PLEASE Sony, make sure the game is optimized to platforming perfection this time around. No need to repeat FFA’s lameness.

  • Jonathan Barnett

when you put the game in the ps3 there is a disc benefits option which has 3 slots, the trailer for the r&c movie, a digital manual, and a third mystery slot. AND in the main menu, there is a cloud save option, like the one from FFA. and then there is also the trophy evidence. the vita version is coming, insomniac is just trying to perfect it and make it look better than FFA did. but the case above isnt the same thing as the ps3 case, which means the case is fake. but the game however for the vita is not.
