Tickets are available to go hands on with preview builds of this winter’s releases.

For our UK readers in and around Greater Manchester, the Play Expo is being held this year at Event City (by the Trafford Centre) in Manchester on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October. If you are interested you can buy tickets and find out up to date info here.

So far on the Vita front things are looking quiet however there is a dedicated handheld area so I’m hoping to be able to have some hands on time with the latest preview builds, and hopefully a first hand go at the remote play feature if it’s available. Ubisoft have already confirmed so I’m hoping to be able to have a go using the Vita screen to give you my impressions of how well remote play will work. As for preview builds nothing has been announced yet, however we’ll be sure to update you as and when further announcements are made. Tickets are very reasonably priced too, with access to both days costing only £24.

The event is being sponsored by Funstock and they’re running a competition to win a Retron 5 console when it is released too (if you’re a retro gamer with old cartridges lying around you may want to check it out). As ever, we will update if and when further Vita related news is available.

I'm 27 years old, and have been playing games for 20 years now, ever since Sonic and Alex Kidd on the master system. I love most types of games but I have a particular passion for music games and racing games, though Final Fantasy VII is and probably always will by my all time favourite as it's the only computer game to ever make me cry!
