Atlus have launched a new Persona site that hints at a November 24th reveal. While its still uncertain if the teaser site is even for a game, there are a few things planted in the html code of the side that make us lean towards that possibility.

…and then there is the whois entry;

Though both sites were created on the same day, the persona5.jp site is hosted on Onamae (something like GoDaddy) and seems to be on hold until someone at Atlus officially launches the site. Index; Sega Sammy’s own provider, hosts the p-ch.jp domain. This could mean that once the game is officially, announced the persona5.jp domain will lead to Atlus’ own site – which is p-ch.jp.

One thing that might not fall in line with the announcement being a game release are the cities listed; that type of teasing makes it seem like it could be a music event – though that’s unlikely as there was one just a few weeks ago.

Another theory is that it has something to do with Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, which was teased a few days ago. The colors match with the new character and overall color scheme of Arena – but why tease something already known?

The listed end date is the day after the Persona 3 movie launches, but the question yet again is why make a teaser for something already known? It would be illogical to do so and therefore we should be able to exclude that possibility. That said, while most of us are hoping that it’s Persona 5, it could be a remastered “golden” version of Persona 3: FES with added features. Either would be most welcome in the Vita community, though – so don’t think we’re turning our noses up at that possibility.

The great news is that whatever this is – if it’s a game, it’ll probably be available on PlayStation Vita.

Since all Atlus’ recent releases have been handheld exclusive (Shin Megami Tensei IV, Persona 4:the Golden, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 1 Portable, Persona 2 Portable), as well as the fact that every Persona game has a playable version on the Vita – it’s likely that any Persona game released during the life of the Vita will be available for it. The fan-base for Persona on our favourite handheld is too great to ignore, seeing as how P4:G alone has sold around half a million physical copies globally (according to VGChartz).

PS: Here’s a cryptic Japanese Twitter post from the PR guy for Persona/Atlus, mentioning the website;
