The final chapter in the Ratchet & Clank series has been long rumored to finding its way onto PlayStation Vita, even having been leaked by a listing posted on online retailer Newegg’s website. Another piece of evidence has arisen as the ESRB have published their official rating of Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus for PS Vita on their respective site.

When the Official PlayStation Blog spoke with Insomniac’s Community Manager James Stevenson today about the game’s multi-platform release date, he had the following so say in regard to the rumored Vita version:

“We haven’t announced a Vita version at this time. We would love for there to be one but only if it’s the quality our fans expect and deserve.”

Given the statement it looks as right now there is still no official confirmation despite the increasingly strong evident to the contrary. We will have more here at The Vita Lounge as the situation progresses.

I think perhaps they are getting ready in case it does meet their expectations. If it doesn’t, well, that sucks.
