Shuhei Yoshida responds to a question about the PlayStation app and PSVita – by outing yet another app.

With the announcement and teasing of the PlayStation app for tablets and smartphones, many PlayStation Vita gamers had begun to ask the question “will we get it too?” The answer isn’t quite what people were expecting, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

This PS4 Link application would fill the gap between the Playstation app for mobile and the Vita, adding the missing functionality and either linking directly to the apps with already present functions (like trophy tracking or the PlayStation Store), or ignoring them completely.

Though we’ve got no date for this app, it’s probably safe to say we won’t see it available ’til we see PlayStation 4’s going home with buyers.

I personally would love to see the PS4’s Metro styled menu replace the Vitas bubble system.

Not much too say other than good deal.
