In the video game industry there are not many personalities like Shuhei Yoshida. The President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. often uses his twitter account (@YOSP)  to nonchalantly drop tasty bits of information about upcoming PlayStation developments; today just so happened to be one of those days.

When twitter user  @OsAndRavensFan1 posed the question of “Will the Vita get a version of the PlayStation App? I’m interested in the second screen stuff, but don’t have iOS or Android devices.” Mr.Yoshida replied the following: “We’ll add “PS4 Link” app to PS Vita with the next update.”

This is good news to anyone who had questions regarding the Vita’s lack of capable firmware so close to the PlayStation 4’s release. Nothing else was mentioned by Shuhei but if he does manage to sneak out some more information, you’ll be sure to find it here.
