Developers Zen Studios may perhaps be best known for the pinball games but they’ve also begun to establish quite the catalog of varied and diverse titles, one such title is CastleStorm. Originally launching on Xbox Live Arcade earlier this year the game has since been ported to PC via the Steam platform and now finds itself set for release on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 5th in North America and on November 6th in Europe.

Merging mechanics from physics-based games such as Angry birds with the inclusion of elements found in classic tower-defense titles Castle Storm is a unique game due to the twist it applies to common genres. Players will muti-task as they build up their kingdom, manage various aspects of the castle such as food supply,  defend it with an arsenal of projectile weapons and so on.  While this may sound like a very serious experience in truth there is a healthy dose of humor which matches its cartoonist aesthetic.

Caste Storm will be Marching onto PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita with a price of $9.99/€9.99 with Cross-Buy enabled functionality via the PSN store.

Zen Studios are such great supporters of the Vita and they really make it sing too! Their games are so smooth and polished on Vita. I hope the PSN release of CatleStorm does well for them.

I have been waiting for this game to come to my Vita for half a year now. though, it seems longer. i saw the XBLA game released, and then the PC game released and then nothing. I was beginning to worry that it wasn’t coming! Now, it’s going to be here before I know it. Better get some cash in my PSN wallet.
