Muramasa’s first set of sword-slinging DLC is scheduled to hit Japan in just over a week.
Marvelous AQL and Vanillaware are finally ready to release the PSVita-exclusive Muramasa Rebirth DLC; including four characters with two stages each (a total of eight new stages). Upcoming characters to be added via DLC include Nekomata, a ninja, an oni and a farmer (inspired by producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto’s work on Harvest Moon). This DLC was actually announced back in March with the release of the game in Japan, but has yet to actually become available – until now.
According to Famitsu, the Muramasa Rebirth DLC episodes will be released starting November 7th in Japan – the first to be release being the Nekomata epsiode. The North American release date for this DLC has yet to be announced, though Aksys (who published the game here) have stated in the past that they’ll be bringing the extra content to North America – so it’s just a matter of time.
Personally, I was beginning to think they’d forgotten about us; it’s good to know it’s still in the works.
