Hey faithful Vita Lounge readers, ready for round number two?

In celebration of one of our favourite holidays of sorts, we’ve put together a little bit of a give-away. The Vita Lounge is partnering with Curve Studios to bring you something befitting of the “spirit” of Hallowe’en – Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut.

3

Jasper Byrne’s new horror title is reminiscent of Silent Hill – only rendered in 8-bits. The funny thing is, despite its looks it’s quite the horror title, drawing you in with more classical scare tactics as opposed to relying on overly realistic graphics or gore.

If that hasn’t convinced you that you’ll enjoy the game, have a read of Paul’s review of the title.

Now the bit you’ve clicked on this post for – how to enter;

To enter to win one (1) European voucher code for Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut, please comment below with your favourite horror title to play near Hallowe’en and your PlayStation Network ID. The winner will be selected by random number generator (random.org) from the comments at 11:59pm GMT on October 30th – at which point the chosen entrant will be messaged via PSN to confirm their identity and dole out the code.

Also, it might be a good idea to listen to our podcast for another chance to win… hint hint 😉

That’s pretty much all you need to know, so get to entering!

Good luck, and Happy Hallowe’en! 😉

Update: A winner has been chosen – congratulations mrfatuous, check your PSN inbox.

    good luck guys!

    Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PSP), an ultimate choice for me. It created a feeling of fear and anticipation throughout game which I never felt in any other till date. I would prefer RDR: Undead Nightmare as next scariest and spooky experience.

    Huh, my comment took off somewhere. As I said, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, like Praky here, but on the Wii. There’s just something about the wiimote-flaslight thing that got me spazzing around losing my poop like nothing before. And my wife tends to get a good laugh out of it aswell. Damn, I should give it another shot this weekend. Not surprisingly I’ve yet to finish the game.

      I highly recommend u finish it. That was my gaming moment of this century 🙂

  • AllBradFlakes

    I remember playing silent hill 2 with my Dad around this time. So I normally go back to that each year. Doesn’t scare me as much as it used to so I thought I’d better go and get the new one.

    Gonna go with something recent: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. While not as scary as the first Amnesia, the atmosphere in this one is so strong… Had to finish it in one go when I first got it.

    Even though it’s not strictly haloween themed I love playing the resident evil remake on the GameCube as it is easily one of the scariest tense games released. If only capcom had brought revelations to vita!!!
