A pair apparently leaked promotional images of have potentially been leaked for the latest Lego title by developer TT Games.

The images seem to reveal that the next franchise set to be translated into brick form will be based upon Peter Jackson’s film adaptation of the “The Hobbit”, and will be named simply Lego: The Hobbit.

If the images are to be taken as legitimate it would seem that the game would be slated for a 2014 release on Xbox Live, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, PC, WiiU and PlayStation (family).  While it’s not explicitly listed by any of the images, it should be understood that the PlayStation family logo would likely include PlayStation Vita given the history of the franchise on the platform.

Looking into the details of the images also reveals that Warner Bros. Games would publish the rumoured title, possibly marking yet another potential collaboration with TT Games.

As long as the Vita keeps getting the crappy 3DS versions I’m not interested… Still hoping that we will finally get a port of the vastly superior console versions instead.

I don’t know how to be remotely excited for this. They keep giving us Vita owners the shaft when it comes to Lego games.

If it comes to the Vita, I will probably play it, though I still need to go and get Lego Lord of the Rings for the Vita. Lego Marvel was a lot of different on the Vita, like the 3DS version was, but it was still a fun game and my first Platinum.

My kids love LEGO games but I won’t see them shortchanged with some crappy 3DS port. The Vita isn’t as powerful as a PS3 or 360 but I refuse to accept that TT can’t do better than they are at the moment.
