Sony’s PlayStation division is bundling the PS4 and the PS Vita together into an ‘Ultimate Bundle’, which will launch in time for the Christmas shopping period. Sony is also putting out a new Vita TV advertisement campaign titled ‘The Best Way to Play’. Both of these marketing strategies will focus on promoting the PS4/Vita combination.

“We’re really excited for Vita as we move into Christmas. We’ve got a great campaign with key messaging around new releases like Tearaway, the ever-growing game catalogue and the Remote Play service.” said senior product manager Ben Law.

It is unclear at the moment which countries will receive the bundle, but since the news was reported by MCV UK we can be fairly sure the UK will be able to get their hands on this combo. Pricing and further contents of the bundle are still unknown.

Not surprising, although I figured this would be a Launch day bundle.

    • Yeah, I expected that as well.

    • Kyle Wakeling

Sony only caught on late that users were asking for a PS4/PSVita bundle – if users had been more vocal early on it would’ve been.

You’re probably 100% right on that.

Finally. Get the price right Sony and there could be many a Vita (and PS4 obviously) in people’s houses this Christmas. This could really boost Vita sales. Now get some more exclusives and third party support!

I wonder if the bundled Vita will be the original model, or the Slim version?

    • I’d say the slim version, as the original model won’t be sold anymore.

I’m pretty sure it’s the original model:

        • Oh, right, of course. I forgot that the Slim hadn’t released in the West yet.
