Hey there faithful readers and newcomers alike, I’d like to announce to you an initiative we’re going to spear-head; Lounge Play.
Lounge Play is a meeting of PlayStation Vita gamers for some multiplayer, with some of the TVL team hosting and/or joining in matches. It’ll be generally hosted by myself and Tyler, though we’ve invited the rest of the team to join in as schedules permit.
This isn’t just for us though, we invite you guys to start your own games and join in each other’s games. We’re trying to get the community together for one day (Saturdays) though we’re hoping this grows into something much, much more.
As it stands, here’s what Tyler and I will be doing;
Every Saturday, at 2PM Pacific, 5PM Eastern or 10PM GMT (depending on your region) we’ll be starting up our first game. If you’d like to join us, contact us at the methods listed below. Depending on how many people ask to join or reply, you guys will need to start your own teams to cover all the people – that’s where this sort of evolves, as it’s not just about gaming with us but each other.
For the TVL team line up this week though, we’re going to be playing the following games;
- Killzone Mercenary (Brian joining us for sure)
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted
- Hot Shots Gold: World Invitational / Everybody’s Golf 6
We’ll be playing with different people each game, but can’t give a solid starting time on any game but the first – so keep in touch if you’re picked to play with us. All the games including Tyler will be recorded and put on the site (and YouTube), so keep that in mind when you’re looking to join.
Speaking of which, if you’re looking to join the staff game here’s how to get in touch;
- E-Mail; email@example.com
- Twitter; @teflontactics or @MrPsVitaReviews
- Leave a message in the comments below
If you’re not picked to game with the staff (due to either the amount of requests or the amount of players allowed in multiplayer for the chosen title), please feel free to schedule a game of your choice with some friends in the comments or make new friends and games with other like-minded gamers. This is really just us pushing everyone to get together, since we know everyone could use some more multiplayer and some more Vita gamers to play with.
Questions or comments are welcome – we’re interested in what you think.
That said, let’s get gaming and I hope to see you there!
Update: Just finished up our first LoungePlay and it went pretty well! Thanks to everyone who joined, videos up soon, and see you next week!
