Punk & Lizard are at it again; delivering the news from PlayStation Vita developer 10tons that King Oddball would be hitting our favourite portable next month – in both North America and Europe.

Here’s the description from P&L, seeing as how I’ve never heard of the game before;

King Oddball swings a boulder back and forth by its tongue. Release the boulder by tapping the screen. Time the release accurately to crush as many targets as possible with each boulder.

Extra boulders are awarded when crushing three or more targets with a single boulder. Anticipate how boulders roll and bounce. Use explosive crates to wreak havoc on the puny humans. Take advantage of collapsing structures too!

Conquer the world by defeating the humans in more than 120 fun and increasingly challenging levels!

Sounds like a unique arcade-style title and the screes definitely look interesting; what do you think?

    It seems a bit like an Angry Birds type of game, and we could definitely use a cheaper alternative to those on Vita. Definitely something I’ll keep an eye on.

    Looks like something I’d spend a few bucks on. Trophies? I don’t care too much about them, but it does seem to make a difference in other people’s eyes.

    Sounds very mobile-y. Sorry 10tons but you are going to have to release much better games before I give you any of my money. Mobile ports aren’t anywhere near enough now Vita is getting brilliant games all the time.

      And noone tells you that a mobile game can’t be brilliant.

      As for this game, I will buy it depending on the price.

    King Oddball is my very favorite iPhone/iPod app (played through the entire game twice- and it’s NOT a small thing- there are a TON of levels) will be interesting to see how it looks on the vita.
