I found the demo fun, even if the fighting seemed a bit shallow. Perhaps it will get deeper the further into the game you get?

It might however i’m not sure. i believe the combat was toned down to fit the brawler type presentation as opposed to the traditional fighting genre we’ve seen in past installments. I do hope there’s a bit more to the combat (we haven’t seen the ultimate attacks yet) but i think if the move sets were any deeper they’d become redundant as we’d never be able to finish more lengthy combos online and against the aggressive AI later on considering how many opponents you’d be facing that could interrupt you

That’s very true. I guess I should approach it with more of a Final Fight/Streets of Rage mentality than that of, say Street Fighter or Budokai 3. Still, I’d love for there to be a better way to input combos as opposed to just mashing away at square. Still, shallow combat does not make a terrible game. Look at Dynasty Warriors. It’s basically just mash attack and then super move to take over bases, but it’s still fun in a Zen, turn off your mind and just watch the bodies fly kind of way.
Aside from my feelings on the combat, I still had fun and laughed during Goku and Krillin’s marriage conversation during the fight with Raditz. If they can keep that up, I think I’ll enjoy the game.
