A standalone edition of Sony’s gorgeous Crystal White PlayStation Vita is available now in North America via Amazon. Priced near the standard MRSP of $199.99, the pallet swapped Vita is currently available for shipping.

Though the variation had previously been made available in the United States as part of an Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Bundle, the rather unceremonious listing of the standalone edition by the iconic online-retailer marks the first time that the variant will be purchasable across the continent.

It’s uncertain as to what exactly what prompted the promotion of the pallet swapped consoles.

Take a look at the equally Crystal White packaging below:

    I wonder if perhaps it’s stock of Japanese White Vitas that Sony thought they couldn’t shift after the new models were released over here.

    I’ve just sold a White Vita to some lucky guy in Ireland. All I can say is that it’s absolutely gorgeous, and it’s only because I’ve had a personal bond with my aging black Vita that I didn’t keep it. If you’re in the market for buying a Vita (or a second one), and living in the US, I highly recommend you nab one of these whilst you still can.

    Question, is it only WiFi? Cause I really wanted a 3G White Vita ;-;
