Hollow Fragment’s battle system is built around being in command of your party. As Kirito, you’re in charge of dolling out orders – you decide when and who gets to attack, buff, heal or defend. Just like in the anime, the one who is best suited to “winning” and getting out of the game is the leader… and it’s a good thing too, since there’s obviously some pretty wicked monsters out there.

Take for example the crab;

Aside from a couple of new pics of this crab monster there are also new shots of Silica, Asuna, other monsters and the menu system. Check those out below.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment releases April 24th in Japan – still no word on localization.

  • Is that squirrel-dog going up her skirt!? Anyways looks pretty sweet I wanna have this game come west! 😀

    • Kyle Wakeling

      Wouldn’t you? I would. Haha.

      But yeah, I’d love to have this one localized as well.

  • Kurisu Makise

    The only regret with this game besides no announcement of a localization, is that you can only play as Kirito. If you could play as the others and give the orders, it’d be pretty interesting.

  • Brandon Hardaway

    As sad as I am to see that we won’t be able to directly control the other members of our party, please tell me who I need to sleep with to get this over to the US and I’ll make it happen! :p

    the menu looks RPG-deep, i just hope it means much for tactical purposes, not just for power/armor strategy.
