In just a couple of weeks the 2D crafting phenomenon Terraria is primed to make it’s debut in the land of the rising sun, and based on a new trailer; it looks like Publisher Spike Chunsoft has managed to sneak in some cross-over content into the Japanese version of the game.

Near the end of the promotional video two characters appear that are sure to be recognizable for fans of PlayStation’s Japanese content. Both platform icon Toro, andĀ Monomi – of the Spike Chunsoft titleĀ Super Danganronpa 2 -make appearances, and will be available as costumes upon the game’s release.

Moreover, according to Siliconera these cameos are currently exclusive to PlayStation Vita, but will be brought over to the PlayStation 3 in a future patch.

Terraria is scheduled to release in Japan on February 6 2014.

Awesome – shame they are very unlikely to release these shores! If I owned the Terraria IP I would have insisted any characters added to the game that are owned by the porting company for a region must be patched to every region.

Hahaha! Pretty sure the Katakana used for the enemies in the featured picture says “Hogwarts”.
