The PlayStation Vita companion app for Yakuza: Ishin will launch on February 13th 2014, a week ahead of the game’s release. The application will be available directly from the PlayStation Store in Japan and offers Vita owners unique interaction with the console release.

Included in the companion app are three game modes; Another Life, Battle Dungeon and Gambling Den Mini-games. All three modes are immediately available via a save data transfer from either the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 versions of Ishin. By utilizing the app players are able to earn items, money, virtue, experience points, soul spheres and soldier cards; all of which can be shared with the console versions via cross-save.

Yakuza: Ishin will slam onto PlayStation consoles on February 22 2014 in Japan.

What happened to all the games for vita that were anounced in the first trailers?

It’s very disappointing this is just a couple of mini games when it was announced as an actual game. They should be porting the ps2 titles to Vita with improved graphics rather than bothering with something like this, as cool as it does sound. I was disappointed not to get the GTA5 companion app.
