Despite early confirmation, a new report suggests that Sony will not be bringing their new streaming service to Canada at launch.
Speaking with Canadian technology publication Mobilesyrup, a representative from Sony claims that previous statements from VP of Marketing John Koller to IGN regarding the simultaneous launch of PlayStation Now have been misinterpreted. Furthermore Sony also explicitly stated that there are “no current plans to bring PlayStation Now to Canada, although it may launch the service in the future.”
The direct statement from Sony not only dispels the information offered by Koller ,who claimed the service would launch in both United States and Canada, but it also flies in the face of a slide acquired by Eurogamer at CES 2013 that suggested that PlayStation Now would launch in both Canada and the United States.
We will have more information as it developers.
