A very strange video has appeared on Youtube, showing what appears to be a localized version of Freedom Wars playable at the Taipei Game Show.

User Bahamut Game Crazy has posted a YouTube video showing an English subtitled version of Freedom Wars; an upcoming action game in development by SCE Japan Studios exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.

While the audio still isn’t in English, all in-game text seems to have been localized – which as anyone in the know can tell you, is half the battle regarding getting games from Japan ready to be published in the West. That said, this isn’t confirmation that we’ll be seeing Freedom Wars released in the West so don’t get your hopes up too much… but at the very least it’s good news for anyone looking to import the title.

Have a look at the video, showing the game in action (and in English) below;

As always, keep an eye on The Vita Lounge for future updates.

  • They just need to say they’re localizing it I’m tired of wondering haha I’d buy it in a heart beat!!!!! 😀

    Dude, this game looks so legit. Can’t wait to get this, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, Toukiden: The Age of Demons, and maybe God Eater 2 is Bandai Namco Games decides to not be jerks to us in the west.

    What is the reazon for not having a tv output for Vita?

  • Nate

    Doesn’t look as fun as I was wanting but I never did like monster hunter either. I’m still looking forward to the game because it does look good.
