Cygames just invested a whopping sum of 70 Million Yen (around $690,000 US) into an indie game called “Airship Q” – a game which was funded via Makuake (think of Kickstarter only in Japanese).
Cygames is mostly known for their mobile games, such as Rage of Bahamut and the upcoming Granblue Fantasia.
In this game you take control of a human that was transformed into a cat by an evil wizard, your goal being to search for the empress of the world since she is the only one who can lift your curse. While doing so, you walk around in the vast Terraria-like world, and (much like in Terraria) you can destroy blocks and build news things with them.
One of the things you can build is an airship, with which you can travel much faster around and fight several air fights on your way to the cure. All in all, it can be called an Terraria clone, which doesn’t need to be an bad thing. There is also an English trailer which shows a little bit of the gameplay.
