Devolver Digital are hopeful that the recently announced Q3 2014 release window for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will carry over to PlayStation platforms.

Earlier today the official twitter account for the Hotline Miami series revealed that fans could expect the upcoming  sequel sometime in the third fiscal quarter of this year, sending waves among murderous hearts everywhere.  However a follow up tweet from publisher Devolver Digtal would later clarify that while they are hopeful for a universal launch across all platforms, the projection only applies to PC, Mac and Linux versions of the game;

“PC, Mac, and Linux – hoping to launch on PS4, PS3, and Vita at the same time but not certain that will happen.”

Wrong Number is the sequel to 2012’s shocking top-down action game Hotline Miami. Created by Dennaton Games and ported to PlayStation Platforms by Abstraction; the original title stands as one of the most polarizing games in the Vita’s library.
