Aksys has confirmed that Mind Zero will indeed be seeing a western release in Spring of 2014 and is currently available for pre-order.

The dungeon-crawling RPG will be released in both retail and digital formats in North America, as well as digitally in Europe; this spring for the price of $39.99. The news of an official western release comes following a rather telling pre-order listing on the Gamestop website earlier today.

The game follows Kei, a seemingly normal high school student who’s life takes a turn for the strange when he enters into a contract with a “Mind”; a living weapon with dangerous and deadly abilities. This supernatural encounter leads Kei to search for the secret behind “Mind”, calling the attention of the government and other nefarious forces along the way.

Keep tuned to TVL as we will have more on Mind Zero moving forward.

    Woot!

I thought this looked neat initially, but then someone pointed out Amazon.co.jp reviews of this hover around 2 stars. I’m starting to be confused as to why everyone has been getting so pumped up for it. :/

main complain is that the story seems unfinished

Honestly I think most people were so pumped for this because it seems to be borrowing heavily from Persona 3. I know that’s why I was excited for it. But that comparison only works if the story can hold up so I will be waiting to hear the reviews before sinking my money into this.

      I’m certainly intrigued though…

And I have to say I love the main image in this post–very evocative.

All right! I hope it’s as good as the art direction is!

So many that have to be imported 🙁 I think I will wait for reviews of this one though.
