After tasting success on the PlayStation Vita with Thieves In Time, Sanzaru Games are bringing the  Sly Cooper Collection to the PlayStation Vita on the 27th of May in North America and the 16th of April in Europe.

Announced first on the American PlayStation Blog, the Sly Cooper Collection comprises of the PS2 trilogy consisting of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racconus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. We are told by producer Caley Roberts that all three of these games have been given the HD treatment and have been optimised for the PlayStation Vita.

For those of you that haven’t experienced a Sly Cooper game, you can expect entertaining adventures, platforming and stealth to be involved throughout the trilogy.

For our European readers, the good news is that the Sly Cooper Collection will be out on April 16th – over a month earlier than the May 27th North American release!

Between now and the games release, be sure to sneak a peek at The Vita Lounge for all the latest updates.

I’ve honestly never played a single Sly game, except for the demo to the latest game on the Vita. No idea if I’ll get this or not.

Sly Cooper Thieves in Time was my favorite game of 2013. I was so impressed with the work Sanzaru did to bring that game to the Vita and have it play almost identically to its PS3 counterpart. It was my first introduction into the Sly games, and it was awesome. After I read that the ESRB had rated the games for Vita, I knew it was just a matter of time for the trilogy to work its way over. I held off getting them for the PS3, and now on May 27th I will be picking them up for the Vita. I’m extremely excited.

Yes! It’s about time! This thing’s been rated for the Vita for ages! Day 1 buy for me. Here’s hoping Ratchet and Clank make it over soon too!

Wahey, I’ve been really looking forward to this announcement. Really happy it’s so soon too. Will definitely pre-order as I trust Sanzaru to have it running well, Sly 5 was one of my favourite games of last year.

Triple dip? I have no problem with this. Unless its really expensive.
