A PlayStation Vita Slim and Borderlands 2 bundle was today confirmed for North America.

Announced for Spring 2014, the bundle see’s Borderlands 2 included with the new console and an 8GB memory card for $199.99. The game is being ported to the Vita by developer Iron Galaxy Studios, and today it was confirmed that it will release with six DLC packs;  Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Psycho Character Class, Mechromancer Character Class, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1 and the Collector’s Edition Pack.

Also revealed was that the game will feature Vita-specific features such as using the touchscreen and rear touchpad for  zooming and panning on maps, managing inventory, inspecting items, and more. Additionally, news that the game will also allow for you and three other Vita pals to play together via Online Co-Op and that the game will include a Cross-Save feature for use with the PS3 version, means that the return to Pandora sounds very promising.

Are you looking forward to looting and Vault hunting on the move? For further details as and when they arrive, we will be sure to keep you updated at The Vita Lounge.

I had already planned on this game but the inclusion of all the dlc, coop and cross save sweetens the pot

Guh, gonna need to track down a copy of the game so I can get my saves off my PS3 and put em up on the cloud. (I traded it in ages ago despite hardly touching any of the season pass content).

“It will release with 6 DLC packs” Does that mean they are included, or will be available to buy?

A definite purchase either way, but if DLC is not included I hope to see it at a bargain price.

The 6 DLC packs listed are included, there’s no news yet on any of the other DLC packs that have been released on the console versions but I am sure there will be more news on them in due course.

  • Cross save is a great deal for existing PS3 owners, exactly the kind of game that should be taking advantage of the feature.

I just want to see some screens and footage now; if we are so close to the release they should have some. It is just going to cause concern if we don’t see any…

sorry for my quiestion….but Borderland 2 wil be retail or digital? orbl both?

    • Charlie Large

No need to apologise 🙂 As far as I’m aware it will be both. Looking at the images released of the bundle, it looks like the bundle version is going to be a digital copy but I would fully expect a physical version of the game to be released alongside this.
