Toukiden: The Age of of Demons may have just been released in the west, but it looks as though we may see a sequel, or perhaps a revision sometime in the near future.

According to Japanese gaming blog Remoon, publisher Tecmo Koei has filed a trademark for the title Toukiden Kyoku . While the meaning behind the effort is uncertain at this time, it should be noted that it isn’t necessarily uncommon for Japanese publishers to repackage popular titles with some notable additions.

Recently Marvelous AQL revealed a similar plan for Valhalla Knights 3, planning to release it as part of a “Gold” edition later this month.

We will have more at TVL as this develops.

Toukiden: The Age of Demons is available now, exclusively for PlayStation Vita.

Damn it! I just opened up my copy! Ugh. I wish that these updates were downloadable packs. buy the new update! for 14.99! or something, and it would just add the few changes they’re implementing. It’s the Street Fighter syndrome but now for monster hunting games. Thanks, Oh-Capcom-ma!
