NIS America just announced that the sequel to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (which I just reviewed) will be coming to PlayStation Vita this Fall.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair was originally released on PSP as Super Dangan Ronpa 2: Farewell Despair Academy in 2012, but is now making its way to the PlayStation Vita this fall. Unlike the first PSVita port, this one will be available both in retail form and digitally, and is being ported by Spike Chunsoft – the developer of the original Danganronpa and a staple in quality visual novels.

Unlike Trigger Happy Havoc, Goodbye Despair isn’t set in a high school location, and instead moves the murder mystery to a place called Jabberwock Island – an uninhabited landmass where the game’s plot unfolds.

That’s all we’ve got on the new title for now, but stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Can’t wait for this one, myself. 🙂

Now, I have to wonder… will they offer 1 and 2 in a bundle, or will i have to purchase them separately? Do I wait and see or take the plunge? Dangan-nabbit!!! I was going to make Danganronpa my Valentine’s Day present that my wife has to get for me. Now I don’t know! GRAH!

I’d get it now if I were you – it’s too good to wait to play =P

I’ll see what I can do to get convincing. ‘Honey, I bought you Roses, jewlery, delicious chocolate covered treats, a fancy dinner and took you to the romantic movie of your choice: Robocop. The least you can do for me is sex or Danganronpa.’ And while I’ll ultimately hope that she’s not exhausted from school and work for sex, there is the chance that I get both.
