Blowfish Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign to get their customizable shooter Gunscape off the ground.

Described as an FPS construction kit, Gunscape mixes the frantically fun gameplay of classic titles such as Quake, with the freedom of an Infiniminer such as the ever-popular Minecraft.

The developers plan to provide “easy-to-use” tools in the game’s Creative Mode that will allow players to create, edit, share and download an assortment of community made campaigns, co-op maps and multiplayer arenas.

The initial goal for the crowdfunding campaign is $27,500 AUD and would see the Gunscape release on PC, Mac and Linux. No other platforms are planned at this time, however the developers are highly considering a release on various platforms, with possible stretch goals planned should the game approach its goal.

“The platform-related stretch goals might be important to some of you. Blowfish Studios is already an approved developer for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PS Vita. We just need a successful Kickstarter to show Microsoft and Sony that Gunscape is indeed wanted by gamers!”

A demo is currently available for the Australian developed title and is available on the official Gunscape website.
