SCE Santa Monica Studio has updated fans regarding the status of their much anticipated patch for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.

According to a post by Community Strategist Andy Kaufman (Tank) on the Official PlayStation Forum the long delayed update is on the way. going as far as to reveal that current balancing elements for the characters Zeus and Isaac are currently being tested.

While Kaufman indeed affirms that testing is indeed underway, he also warns that there is still work to be done and that fans may need to exercise a bit more patience. “Design and Testing is still in the middle stages, so we’re not on the cusp of an immediete release.”

No further details were added regarding the update, however Kaufman did encourage the Battle Royale community to begin reuniting for various tournaments and events in anticipation of its release.

Recently Santa Monica Studios were at the brunt of a “reduction in workforce” which would see layoffs hit the developer, as well as the cancellation of at least one of their upcoming projects.

We will keep you informed as to the progress of the update.

    Sometimes I hate Santa Monica.

Well, at least it’s on its way. I should really get back into the game. Sadly, for the second time, the digital files for PASBR corrupted, and I have to start over. It makes it so hard to want to jump back in, Sigh.

Ouch, that doesn’t sound fun at all!

  • I wasn’t aware there was patch coming. I hope it’s not very big to go on top of the already-huge patches they’ve got for the game.

  • Brandon Hardaway

I hope they make Jak fun again. He was my favorite character before they nerfed everyone.
