After announcing that they were working on Cel Damage HD, Finish Line Games has revealed some more details about the upcoming remake, while also shining some light upon themselves.

According to a post on the Official PlayStation Blog, the founders of the newly formed are none other than Richard Hilmer and Daniel Posner, Co-founders of Pseudo interactive; the creators of the original Cel Damage.

In terms of the game itself, it was reaffirmed that the HD edition of stylish combat title will support cross-buy across PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. However, unlike the initial announcement the game was also revealed to be sport cross-save functionality in a similar fashion.

Additionally it seems as though the game will have a strong focus on local split-screen multiplayer, something which will obviously lost on Sony’s handheld. It’s unconfirmed whether an online alternative will be offered at this time.

With both Hilmer and Posner are returning to the game more than a decade since its debut, it’s clear that the project built from passion and love for the creation, attributes which shown through in recent words.

“I want to give a big shout-out to the original Cel Damage team and say thanks for such an awesome time and so many fantastic memories. This re-release is dedicated to all of you.” said  Co-founder and President Daniel Posner.

No release date has been set.

Looks pretty but hopefully will hit at a low price, around £8.

The original game was a lot of fun. I remember playing it on the Xbox.
