Free-to-play PlayStation Vita title Destiny of Spirits will launch in Japan on March 20th of this year.

According to Siliconera the Japanese publication Famitsu has not only reported the Japanese date, but also that the game has seen improvements since beta.

The collaborative creation from Q? Entertainment and SCE Japan Studio was rolled out worldwide late last year as part of a part of a closed-beta, but this marks the first news regarding an official release. There is no confirmation as to whether the game will launch simultaneously in regions outside of Japan.

Destiny of Spirits is an online, F2P, social-RPG that takes the players location into consideration. Working cooperatively with other others across the globe, players summon mythological creatures to do battle. In addition to dieties based on cultural and religious folklore, some familiar faces from the PlayStation family also make appearances; including the iconic Toro and Kat from Gravity Rush.

I doubt they have added any actual gameplay or it might turn people off spending money. I hope noone spends a penny on this. While it might be a novelty, you will open the floodgates of pay2play crap if you download this.
