XSEED Games has announced that they will be releasing the quirky vampire-romp Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed in North America for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3.

Originally developed by Acquire and released as Akiba’s Trip 2 in Japan, Undead & Undressed is an “all new standalone story” that will take player’s through Tokyo’s otaku haven Akihabara (or Akiba) district as they battle “vampire-like” enemies.

The western release of the stylish open-world rpg was hinted at yesterday in a tweet yesterday by the publisher, suggesting that we could see the appearance of the famed “Electronic Town” in an upcoming localization.

In Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed players attempt to repel and prevent a dark force that has taken over the popular locale. It is there that Creatures known as “Synthisters” prey on the otaku found in Akiba, feasting on their life force and “energy to socialize” like vampires. The only way to destroy these nefarious beings is to expose their bodies to direct sunlight and that means that keeping their clothes on is not an option.

Playing as the young protagonist Nanashi, it is up to you and your companions, dubbed the Akiba Freedom Fighters, to uncover both the truth and the bodies of the sinister Synthister plague.

Look for Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed sometime in Summer 2014.

an option.” It looks interesting, regardless of how crazy the concept is. 😛

It’s actually coming out in the West? Well, I’m sold. Here: Take my money!

While part of it seems pretty Valhalla Knights 3, I can’t turn down the chance to explore the real Akiba.

What exactly are the similarities between the two? Valhalla Knights is blades and armor while Akibas Trip is anime style Japanese game. If you mean Pervy elements then VK3’s is just a minigame, I don’t think there’s actual nudity in AT2 just suggestive themes.

Has this been confirmed as retail on the Vita? or will it be PSN
