PSN Minis developer Mediatonic has announced they are bringing their theater-based beat ’em up Foul Play to the PS4 and PS Vita.  While no release date has been given, Mediatonic has said that the game will be cross buy at launch.

The game puts the player in the role of Baron Dashforth, a Victorian age Daemonologist as he takes to the stage to recreate some of his most epic adventures for the audience.  The player has to hit his cues on time to keep his “Mood-o-Meter” full, which takes the place of the traditional health bar.  Failure to keep the audience happy will result in the other actors taking their revenge on the poor Baron, and he will be booed off the stage.

The game will also feature a co-op mode featuring the Baron Dashforth and his assistant Mr. Scampwick as they battle against other costumed actors.

We’ll have more information on Foul Play as it’s announced.

It’s an older game, but I think it might do well on the Vita. It looks kind of crazy in a cool way. But then I’m a sucker for anything in the Victorian era.
