PSSite asked Sucker Punch’s Game Director Nate Fox about InFamous, and got an indication that it might fight its way to Vita sometime in the future.

Though it’s neither an announcement nor a confirmation, Game Director Nate Fox from Sucker Punch has given us some hope for inFamous hitting our Vitas in some form. Checking out his interview with PSSite, it’s clear that not only does the inFamous team not have a current direction, but he himself would “love it” if inFamous was on Vita.

Laying out the evidence of possibility, let’s start with their next project;

“Our next game is a… a secret. And I’ll tell you why it’s a secret: it’s because we don’t know what we are doing yet, whether it’s another inFamous or something else, we haven’t really decided. “

That possibility-opening quote was followed up later by;

“I would love it if there was a Vita [inFamous] game. We don’t have anything to say about it just right now.”

If that’s not enough of an eyebrow-raiser, when asked if there is potential for Vita he responded with;

“Sure, I think that the inFamous concept of an everyday person gets powers and decides if they want to use them for good or evil can be used in a lot of different consoles and there are a lot of stories to be told there.”

So, not to say that they are working on a Vita version of inFamous, but they don’t seem to be denying the potential it could have there as well as Nate himself stating he’d “love” if there was a Vita game in the series. That bodes well for us, don’t you think?

Someone fire up the Vitabros machine, we need to bug them to make this one happen!

    I would give my soul to have that.

  • Himanshu Goel

    So this is what he meant when a few months ago he said that he’d talk about the Vita later?

    After Ken Levine’s little Bioshock port drama, I find it hard to let myself fall into an other empty promise. Of course I want inFamous to hit the Vita, I just don’t believe it MIGHT happen anytime soon.

    • JonathanisPrimus

      Ken Levine wanted an original Bioshock on Vita, not a port.

  • Lester Paredes

    I’d love that! But not Cole or Delsyn (or however you spell his name) a new character just for vita (preferrably a woman or somebody who’s not exactly a good guy, so you can choose to reform them or make them eviler)! I’d buy that in the first 10 minutes of release!

    Wow great news 🙂 i would like to see it same as PS3 version on my Vita,even wanna purchase it with any price 😀

    Ofcourse that quote bodes well for us vita users but that statement sounded like any other PR statement where the developer *loves every console in the world and would love to bring their games to a broader audience*.

    Of course he would love to make a Infamous game for the VITA. Same goes with Ken Levine on Bioshock for the VITA. But in order for that to happen, Sony needs to tell them to start making the games.
    Without Sony’s order they wont do anything. I mean it is Sony’s fault we’re not seeing Bioshock or any other big title for the VITA. Otherwise every developer would love to make games for the VITA.
