Quickfire games just released some details on a few of the non-playable characters included in Wild Season.

First off is Edward Giles, he is 26 and was born on Spring first at Spring 1 in Bedford Valley (the tentative name of the village);

“Edward is the head of Giles Ranch and the oldest of the Giles children. He and his younger brother Stefan are currently the legal guardians of their much younger twin siblings Ponco and Panca, and Edward takes this responsibility seriously. He has a close connection with the animals he raises and is always sad to see one go, even if it’s only to the next ranch over. He is considered by many to be the best looking guy in town, but he doesn’t seem to realize it. William has a one-way rivalry with him because of this, but Edward doesn’t seem to realize that either.”

Next is Richard Blackwood (Rick), who was born on Fall 4 in the same city and is currently 28;

“Rick runs the Cat with the Fiddle Inn along with his father Barry and younger sister Mary. He is by far the most responsible member of his family, especially after he stepped up to managing the family business after his mother’s death some years back; however, the inn has been in decline ever since, and Rick is desperately trying to return it to it’s former glory. Rick does not handle stress well and is willing to complain to anyone or anything that will listen; unfortunately for him, not many do. Usually he is able to communicate his issues more than efficiently, but he becomes tongue-tied around girls.”

Then there is Jessica Kidd, she was also born in Bedford Valley on Spring 15 – she’s currently 22.

“Jessica is the youngest of the Kidd children and currently works part time at her family’s general store. She graduated recently from college in the player’s former city and is applying for law school, but she hasn’t made much progress. She is spirited like her mother – easily irritable if you set her off, but also extremely loyal once you meet her acquaintance. Despite her obvious efforts to keep up her girlish appearance, she seems to wander into the forest often with supplies and doesn’t come back for hours at a time…”

Let us not forget Stefan Giles, age 24 and also born in Bedford Valley.

“Stefan is the second eldest of the Giles children and currently runs the Giles Family Ranch Store in town. He is not nearly as passionate about animals as his older brother Edward is, but he has a vast knowledge of them and many other things due to his profession and his reading habits; however, he almost always has his head so buried in a book that it takes some effort to get him to actually do his job. Many in town rely on him for technical tasks such as taxes and while he likes to help, he feels unappreciated for his work. According to his siblings, he is writing what seems to be the longest novel of all times, though no one knows what it’s about…”

Last but not least; Mary Blackwood, who is a 22 year old waitress at the Cat with the Fiddle Inn.

“Mary is a young woman currently working as a waitress and sometimes baker at her family’s inn. She is known around town for being more than a bit of an air-head, often becoming so invested in her baffling thoughts that she completely ignores her surroundings; however, she has the ability to draw even the most isolated of people towards her and she seems to easily empathize with people’s problems despite ignoring her own. Recently she has been more tired in the mornings than usual and can’t seem to keep her head up. Even so, she’s what many consider the heart of the inn and keeps many clients coming back despite her clumsiness.”

That’s all for now, keep tuned to TVL for more on Wild Season as we get it.

    Sounds like it’s coming along nicely. I like that NEW seem to have more than a paper thin back story. That was my main complaint of harvest moon until the PSone Back to Nature title.

    I’m glad you guys at TVL have been following Quickfire closely and letting us know about every single step it takes towards its release. This game is cute but I expect it to be challenging. I wish I could play it right now.

    The more I hear about this game the more excited I am!!! Seeing as there’s not likely to be a new Harvest Moon game for Vita any time soon… Does anyone have any idea when this is coming out???
