Bandai Namco Games has revealed that brawler J-Stars Victory VS‘ boss character will be the Dark Phantom.

Boasting an already impressive roster, it was revealed in the latest edition of Jump magazine that the Dark Phantom can take on the same guise as the J-Stars Victory VS‘ many playable characters.

Given the title the Dark Phantom, the boss character can become a shadow version of a J-Stars hero. Once he takes on that character’s persona, he can also make full use of their abilities and powers.

To see some of these abilities and powers in action, you can view some of Bandai Namco’s gameplay trailers here.

With J-Stars Victory VS due for a Japanese release on March 19th, and no news as yet of a Western release for this PlayStation Vita beat-em up, The Vita Lounge will be sure to keep you up to date with any new announcements.

Mirror matches, huh? That’s kind of a cop-out, but it all depends on how they pull it off I guess. If he can change at will during battle or if it’s just one character for the fight. A regular Shang Tsung is preferable.
